Takoradi Technical University (TTU) grants a full scholarship to a student who has invented water bicycle

TTU GRANTS FULL SCHORLARSHIP TO FRANK DARKO

Takoradi Technical University has granted full scholarship to Mr. Frank Darko, a student of the university who has invented water bicycle to address the challenge of school children who cross rivers to get to their school premises.

According to the Vice Chancellor, Rev. Prof. John Frank Eshun mentioned the offer of the full scholarship to the media on meeting Frank to congratulate him for his invention and zeal, to contribute to efforts to resolve challenges in the Ghanaian society.

He indicated that the university was ready to give scholarship to any student who shows interest in innovations that seeks to address societal challenges.

Rev. Prof Eshun expressed ecstasy about the invention and added the university will take up the project and in collaboration with the student improve on it to fit for purpose and stand the test of time.

To him, the university has established an entrepreneurial and innovation incubation centre to assist students with various talents to evolve it into a business venture to help solve the high rate of unemployment.

Frank Darko was a final year student at the Takoradi Technical University pursuing Graphic Design but deferred the course due to financial challenges. His inspiration comes from the zeal to solve societal problems.
