Entry Requirement for Admission into HND Graphic Design – Koforidua Technical University (KTU)

Entry requirement for admission into HND Graphic Design:

SSSCE Candidates:

  • Three (3) passes (A –D) in the Core Subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Social Studies or Integrated Science.
  • Three (3) passes (A-D) in any of the following Programmes: General Knowledge in Art (GKA) and two (2) elective subjects. The relevant elective subjects include: Textiles, Picture Making, Graphic Design, Ceramics and Sculpture. Leather Work and Jewellery or related subjects.

WASSCE Candidate;

  • Three (3) passes (A1-D7) in the Core Subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Social Studies or Integrated Science.
  • Three (3) passes (A1-C6) in any of the following Programmes: General Knowledge in Art (GKA) and two (2) elective subjects. The relevant elective subjects includes; Textiles, Picture Making, Graphic Design, Technical Drawing, Leather Work, Ceramics, Visual communication, Jewellery and Sculpture or related subjects..

O’ Level and A’ Level Applicants

  • C.E. ‘O’ Level Applicants in this category need to have credits in English language, Mathematics and Art or related subjects
  • C.A ‘A’ Level the candidates require credit passes in G.C.E. ‘O’ Level including English Language, Mathematics, Art and one (1) ‘A’ Level pass in Art related subjects.

Mature Applicants

Mature applicant must be 25 years old, provide a Birth Certificate and satisfy one of the following categories;

  • Four (4) G.C.E ‘O’ Level Passes including English Language, Mathematics and Art
  • ‘A’ Level Credit Passes including English Language, Mathematics and Art.
  • Four (4) SSSCE passes in (A-D) or four (4) WASSCE Passes (A1-C6). The passes must include English Language and Mathematics and Art related subject.
  • All matured applicants must have at least two (2) years working or industrial experience, pass a written exam and show a portfolio of Art works as an evidence of continuous practise.
