Research Methods At University Of Ghana
The main aim of this course is to equip students with a variety of quantitative and qualitative
methods for collecting and analyzing data for their Long Essays. Topics discussed include
sampling techniques, proposal writing, designing questionnaire, ethical issues in research, pictorial
representation of summaries from collected data, summary statistics, statistical inference
(confidence intervals and hypothesis testing), simple regression and multiple regression. Students
are also introduced to some non-parametric statistical tests.
