RECRUITMENT OF e-HEALTH TECHNICAL ASSISTANTS 2018
The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) of Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, The Ghana Health Service, The 1mCHW Global Campaign and The World Vision International- Ghana, is seeking to employ 500 young Ghanaians as Community e-Health Technicians with a goal of providing e- support to Community Health Workers in the District.
Tasks & Jobs Responsibilities
- The e-Health Technical Assistant shall support the implementation of e-Health tools and other related activities and liaise with key stakeholders including ;
- District Director of Health Services (GHS),
- District Health Information Officer (GHS),
- District Health Management Team,
- YEA District Director,
- Community Health Officer (CHO) and
- The Community Health Workers (CHWs).
Qualification
- Applicants Must be between the ages of 18 -35 years.
- A Minimum Qualification Of SHS Education or Its Equivalent, HND or University Degree.
- Strong smart phone and computer configuration / technical maintenance skills
- Proponent of open source solutions
- Excellent writing, interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills, self-motivation, team work and detail-orientation
- Ability and willingness to work at the district and sub district levels
- Prior experience working with ODK applications like CommCare is highly preferred
- Ability to do basic network wiring and setup will be an advantage
Condition Of Employment
- Successful applicants will not be regular employees, but beneficiaries of the YEA employment module.
- Beneficiaries will be on two (2) years contract of engagement.
- B eneficiaries will receive allowances just above the Daily National Minimum wage level.
- Successful applicants should have completed National Service
- All applicant must ideally be resident in the respective community they apply for
- Successful applicants must be prepared to stay and work within the community for two years.

- YEA District offices would also serve as online registration centers for those who do not have access to internet facilities.
- A passport picture, a copy of any national identification eg. Voters ID, Birth Cert or Passport and a contact number should be added.
