PD in IT Project Management

The programme offers eight courses that are tailored for the IT professional and the special needs of managing projects in a high-risk environment. Students will master scheduling, budgeting and resource allocation methodologies and avoid common snares that side track IT projects. Moreover, the programme will help students to master skills necessary for the execution of a project. In addition, the programme is an excellent way to prepare for the challenging Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification examination.

Thus, the objectives of the programme are: To
1.  Produce IT project managers who are able
2.  Define and explain IT project management and project leadership.
3.  Understand and apply the sequential steps of the project management framework.
4.  Apply the project process of initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing the project.
5. Equip students with advanced yet practical IT project management knowledge and skills.
6. Produce IT project managers required at various levels of the social, economic and industrial development of Ghana and elsewhere.
7. Prepare students for higher IT project management qualifications.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. They must produce evidence of competency in IT.
