Here is How To Become A Military Nurse In Ghana

General Eligibility

Eligible applicants should:

Be a Ghanaian citizen by birth.

Be of good character.

Not less than 20 years and not more than 26 years, for Regular Commission and not more than 30 years for Short Service Commission.

Be medically fit by Ghana Armed Forces Standards.

Not Bonded.

Not married (for Regular Officer Candidates only).

Be of a minimum height of 1.68m (5’6”) for males and 1.60m (5’4”) for females.

In addition to the general eligibility, nursing and midwifery applicants must have a degree from an accredited institution plus a relevant postgraduate qualification.

Nursing Tutors

Applicants must have either MPhil in Nursing/Midwifery or MSc/MA in Nursing/Midwifery with a postgraduate certificate in Education and must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana. Applicants must be in good standing, with at least one (1) year teaching experience post permanent registration in an accredited Nursing/Midwifery institution. 

Applicants must not be more than 35 years

Specialized Nurses

Applicants must have a BSc degree in any of the following specialties: Critical Care, ENT, Peri-operative, Emergency Care, Plastics and Burns, Paediatrics, Ophthalmic Nursing, Nephrology Nursing, and other specialties with at least one (1) year working experience post-permanent registration in a recognized health facility.

Applicants must be in good standing with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana. Applicants must not be more than 33 years 

Midwifery Officers

Applicants must have either a:

BSc degree in Midwifery from an accredited institution with at least two years of practice post-permanent registration.

Or

BSc degree in Midwifery from an accredited institution and a Diploma in Midwifery (RM) with at least one (1) year practice post-permanent registration.

Applicants must be in good standing with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana.
