The Ghana Revenue Authority is the Ghana administration charged with the task of assessing, collecting and accounting for tax revenue in Ghana.
The Area Managers are responsible for each area’s Taxpayer Service Centres. They report to relevant head office Deputy Commissioners who are assigned areas and held responsible for the performance of all tax offices under their management.
There are ten (10) designated areas across the country with the Ashanti Region as one (1) ; the Greater Accra Region is divided into four (4) areas and the remaining regions being grouped into Western/Central, Eastern/Volta, Bono/Ahafo, Northern/Upper East and Upper West/Savannah Areas. Each Area will have an Area Office to properly oversee the Taxpayer Service Centre’s audit and enforcement.
