1. We’re great for getting you a job!
9/10 Lancaster University graduates in the UK get a job or further study place within 6 months of graduation. Supporting students into employment or further studies is central to our work: we offer work placements and one-to-one support, as well as CV and interview skills training in both Ghana and the UK. Graduating from Lancaster University Ghana makes you part of the thriving alumni network of over 100,000 alumni across 148 countries around the world. The Alumni Office hosts several cocktail events and reunions across the globe which make for excellent networking opportunities.
2. …And for student satisfaction!
9/10 Lancaster University students in the UK say that they are satisfied with their university experience according to the National Student Survey. Lancaster University Ghana emulates the same formula attracting students from across Africa and incorporating a dual focus on academics and student life offering a social and cultural taste of Ghana that reinforces teachings in the classroom as well as providing a lively atmosphere outside the classroom!
3. We’re global!
The network of overseas teaching partnerships is a key component of Lancaster’s global outreach and commitment to internationalisation. Lancaster degree programmes are currently taught at branch campuses in collaboration with local institutions in India, Pakistan, Malaysia and China. We offer a multitude of study abroad and exchange opportunities for our young African minds to broaden their horizons and provide them with the opportunity to leave their comfort zone and exchange perspectives and ideas with students from all around the world.
4. We offer exciting student exchanges to the UK!
A unique study abroad programme sends Lancaster University Ghana students to the UK for the International Cultural Exchange. This three-week summer programme brings students together from Lancaster University’s network of partner institutions around the world including India, Pakistan, China, Malaysia, and Palestine. This trip allows students from the Ghana campus to network with students from around the world and spend a period of time immersed in cultural, business, volunteering, and social activities in the UK.
Lancaster Ghana is now the recipient of students from our home campus for a similar opportunity in September each year allowing students from our home campus to take part in similar activities in Ghana.
In addition, Lancaster University Ghana welcomes students from the Lancaster UK campus on two occasions each year. The Faculty of Arts and Social Science (FASS) visits in the Lent Term, and the Lancaster University Students’ Union visits throughout the Summer.
5. We offer a modern, comfortable campus!
Our campus is located in the delightful suburb of East Legon where you will be able to enjoy the many shopping, leisure, dining and entertainment venues in extremely close proximity to our university which is surrounded by a sprawling mall with cafes, restaurants and shops, a fully-equipped sports complex and a hospital.
6.  Wellbeing & Support
There are a whole range of sporting activities that you can get involved with at Lancaster University Ghana. We value fitness and physical well-being since we believe a healthy, active student is part of the formula for a well-rounded team player which translates to results in the classroom and beyond.
With your Lancaster ID card, we offer free access to Lizzy’s Sports Complex, about 100m from our campus, which demonstrates our commitment to keeping fit and eating healthy. The complex offers sports pitches and courts, a gym, and an outdoor swimming pool.
We proudly boast  of our football, rugby, and basketball teams, and everyone is welcome to join in with training, regardless of experience.  Our Student Life Office often hosts fun intra university social events at the complex, such as penalty shoot-outs and basketball challenges.
7. We assist, tutor, and prepare you for the future!
Our Foundation Programme is designed as a unique preparatory course that will introduce high school, A-Level, and IGCSE students to the rigours of British undergraduate syllabi. Students from the West African Examination Council will need to complete the Foundation Programme prior to commencing their undergraduate studies. It is strongly recommended that students who do not currently meet the entry requirements for undergraduate studies enter this programme first.
Smaller class sizes, an internationally-renowned curriculum, knowledgeable lecturers who enjoy teaching, a modern, comfortable environment and a strong student focus combine to make Lancaster truly unique.
8. World class teaching
Students are taught by a combination of international, local and Lancaster University lecturers.  Faculty from the parent campus in Lancaster will teach most post graduate programme modules and provide guest lectures and/or co-teach undergraduate programmes with Accra based academics. Graduates will also receive the same degree certificate that they would have received had they studied in the UK and the transcript will indicate the location of study of each module.
9. Industry Partnerships
We work closely with industry, businesses, community and government across a range of exciting projects and initiatives. This means, you’ll learn exactly what you need to know to meet current and future industry needs.
10. Diversity is Key to us
Lancaster offers a welcoming and diverse community with a global perspective to life and learning. The world of work is becoming increasingly global and the ability to communicate between different cultures even more essential. Students studying at one of Lancaster’s overseas campuses may take part in summer schools based at Lancaster University. This offers the chance to network, study and learn about a different culture.
