Catering technology can be defined as ‘the application of science to the art of catering’.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

a. W ASSCE/SSSCE Candidates
Must have credit passes in three (3) Core Subjects (English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science), and credit passes in three (3) elective subjects (Economics, General Knowledge in Art, Chemistry, Biology, Clothing and Textiles, as well as Food and Nutrition with an aggregate of 36/24 respectively or better.

b. Advanced Level Applicants
i. Should have six (6) Ordinary Level passes including Mathematics, English and a Science subject and
ii. Three (3) Advanced Level passes including Biology or one of the following: Economics, Agricultural Science, Chemistry and General knowledge in Art.

c. HND Applicants
Holders of Hospitality and Catering-related certificate with a minimum of a Second Class Lower Division will be admitted to third year.

d. Degree and Diploma Applicants
Holders from related programmes shall be interviewed before admission.

e. Holders of Cookery for the Catering Industry Parts I and II will be admitted to first year.

f. Holders of Cookery for the Catering Industry Part I (C60) with passes in English Language, Mathematics and Sciencewill be admitted to first year.

g. Mature Applicants
i. Should be at least twenty-five (25) years.
ii. Should have five (5) credit passes at the Ordinary Level including Mathematics, English and anyone of these subjects (Economics, Biology, Agricultural Science, Chemistry and General knowledge in Art). 

OR
iii. Five (5) credit passes in WASSCE/SSSCE including English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science, and also credit passes in two (2) elective subjects in any of the following: Economics, Biology, Agricultural Science, Chemistry, General knowledge in Art, as well as Food and Nutrition.

h. Foreign Applicants
Foreign applicants from accredited/recognized institutions with equivalent qualifications will be considered for admission.

i. International Baccalaureate
Applicants with International Baccalaureate are eligible to apply. Such applicants must also possess a proficiency certificate in English.
