ACCESS PROGRAMME
This programme is designed to help remedial students gain eventual admission into the University College to pursue any of its degree programmes. Students in the Access Programme shall have the opportunity to audit at most two (2) University Course whilst doing their WASSCE remedials. Students under the Access Programme complete two semesters of University work and resit their WASSCE remedials. Students who are able to redeem their WASSCE deficiencies are subsequently admitted into the University to begin Level 100.
Criteria
Candidates with deficiencies in WASSCE subjects qualify to enter the Access Programme. The remedial subjects are taught by well-qualified tutors and WAEC examiners from renowned secondary schools. In 2013/2014 academic year the University College recorded 90% pass rate for our Access Students who were subsequently admitted into the University College’s degree programmes.
Mode of Application
- Purchase admission forms at the following sales centers:
- UCAES campus at Bunso, Eastern Region, Ghana near Linda Dor Accra – Kumasi Highway Rest Stop: (GH ¢ 100.00 Cash)
- All Regional Post Office and EMS centers: (GH ¢ 100.00 Cash)
- Download the application form here. Pay the Application Fee of GHC ¢ 100.00 as a bankers draft drawn at any commercial bank in the name of the University. Attach the bankers draft to the completed Application Form.
- Access applicants should indicate “ACCESS” at the top of the first page of the application form.

Deadline for application: Admissions usually run from August to May every year. Applications can be made within this period.
Short Courses
The University College organizes short course periodically in the following;
- Advanced Certificate in ICT [networking, programming etc]
- Certificate Course in Environmental Management.
The duration of these short courses range from intensive 1-week for the Environmental Management course and 6-weeks for the Advanced Certificate in ICT.
WASSCE REMEDIALS
WASSCE remedial are run for students with deficiencies in their secondary school grades to enable them correct their deficiencies. Tutors are dedicated, well-qualified WAEC examiners and tutors from various renowned schools.
Applications can be made anytime during the year but keep in mind that the students are required to sit for the September/October (Nov/Dec) examinations.
Mode of application:
No application form is required. Prospective students should contact the University’s administration or Faculty office for registration procedures.
