Cataloguing

The Cataloguing Department of the University Library establishes and maintains bibliographic control over an ever-growing collection of information resources. These predominantly curriculum based resources are made accessible to students, faculty and staff of the university, and the research and scholarly community world-wide. The department is charged with the responsibility of providing access to all formats of library materials, print and electronic. The Library catalogues currently hold over 210,000 records of which about 20% can be accessed in the CDS/ISIS electronic database. All efforts are being made to complete an ongoing computerization project after which the local catalogue database will be linked to major catalogue database worldwide.

Presently the library catalogue is automated and online. Search the KNUST Library Catalogue
