What are the types of Treasury Bill/Bonds in Ghana?

The various types of bills/bonds listed on the Ghanaian money market are as follows:

91-day Treasury Bill

182-day Treasury Bill

1 and 2-Year Treasury Notes

3 and 5-Year Bonds

Who can buy Treasury Bills?

Buying and selling of treasury bills/notes are open to all Ghanaian citizens, institutions, and foreign residents in Ghana and abroad.

What are the types of Treasury Bills available?

With the introduction of the weekly wholesale auction, available instruments will be advertised in the national papers. Currently, the available instruments are the 91-day and 182-day treasury bills, as well as 1 and 2-year notes.

These may be purchased with a minimum amount of GH¢500. Treasury bills/notes may be bought on the primary or secondary market.
