About the Course
The programme is specifically designed to meet a real and growing demand among the international logistics industry. Employers are increasingly seeking to recruit well qualified people into the industry. This programme aims to provide graduates with the skills and knowledge not found among other business graduates. The programme was created with the assistance of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) and a number of employers. The programme aims to provide the skills and knowledge the international logistics industry needs and to give graduates a competitive edge in the recruitment market.

Who is this Programme for?
You are a recent graduate in any discipline who is seeking to purse a career in management. You will be confident in handling quantitative data and in undertaking numerate analysis and be keen to understand more about systems and processes.

Course Content
The MSc Management (International Logistics) is studied over two taught semesters followed by a third semester in which a dissertation of 15000 words is undertaken. For the dissertation the student has their own supervisor assigned to them and the topic chosen can be of the students own area of interest. Taught modules are studied in core subjects of Strategy, Accounting and Finance, Marketing and Human Resources Management fields. Specialist modules are then studied in International Logistics, Strategic Issues and Perspectives of Applied Logistics. The dissertation is related to the subject pathway followed and allows students to apply the knowledge, skills and competences developed in semesters one and two.

Assessment
The course has a mixture of assessment involving essays, research papers, case studies, portfolios, oral presentations, examinations and a final dissertation.

The International Logistics pathway aims to provide a rounded management education to those students seeking a qualification that will serve them well in a management role within the logistics industry or some supply chain management roles in a non-logistics organisation. It will be relevant to applicants with or without a business background. The specialist pathways are designed to provide more focussed routes for students who have more clearly-defined career aspirations while still seeking to develop knowledge and skills in a broad range of business and management disciplines.

Duration of Course
You can choose to begin studying in either October or January. You will attend lectures, seminars and workshops throughout two taught semesters followed by a period of supported independent study whilst you complete your dissertation.

Entry Requirements
First Degree(Minimum Second Class Lower Division), in any discipline, with minimum of 2 years relevant industrial/commercial experience at a management level.
