Entry Requirements for Refrigeration Technician
Candidates are advised to indicate their option. However, a candidate may be offered an alternative option if the preferred option cannot be offered.
A. SSSCE/WASSCE APPLICANTS must have passed in English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science and passes in three (3) relevant elective subjects. The total aggregate should be 36 or better on the WASSCE scale and aggregate 24 or better on the SSSCE scale (Refer to the last page of brochure).
B. GCE APPLICANTS must have any of the following combinations:
i. Three (3) GCE ‘A’ Level passes including Mathematics and Physics plus five (5) GCE ‘O’ Level passes including English Language, Mathematics and Chemistry.
ii. Three (3) GCE ‘A’ Level passes including Mathematics and Chemistry plus five (5) GCE ‘O’ Level passes including English Language, Mathematics and Physics.
iii. Technician Part II or III Certificates plus either of the following:
- SSSCE/WASSCE passes in core English Language and Mathematics and two (2) electives.
- GCE ‘O’ Level passes in English, Mathematics, and two (2) other subjects.
Does TTU accept D7?
The last grade that is accepted by Technical Universities for admission is D7. For this reason, even if you get A1 in all other 7 subjects and get, either E8 or F9 in only one subject, you cannot still gain admission to Technical Universities. Sincerely, it is as clear as that.
