History Vision The Department of Environmental Health and Sanitation Education was coined out of the Department of Integrated Science Education in 2010. Prior to its formation, its programmes were run under the Department of Science Education. Its formation was necessitated by the need to train competent graduates for Ghana’s water, sanitation and hygiene sectors in order to boost the capacity of the personnel in the Environmental Health and Sanitation sector. Since its formation, interest in the programmes run by the department has increased tremendously over the years.

To be an internationally acclaimed centre of excellence for skills development and dissemination of knowledge in Environmental Health and Sanitation.

Mission

To conduct research, disseminate knowledge, develop skills and influence national policies in the area of Environmental Health and Sanitation
