Human Nutrition and Dietetics is the application of the science of nutrition to the prevention and treatment of disease and the promotion of health.

PhD Human Nutrition and Dietetics Degree

PhD Programmes (Full-Time) are of Four (4) Calendar Years and (PartTime) are of Five (5) Calendar Years duration.

PhD Human Nutrition and Dietetics At KNUST Entry Requirement.

A good first degree, at least Second Class (Upper Division) or
equivalent in Nutrition and/or Dietetics, Biochemistry, Food Science,
Biological Sciences, Medicine, Nursing, Home Economics and related
fields and a masters’ degree in Nutrition and/or Dietetics,
Biochemistry, Food Science, Biological Sciences, Nursing, Home
Economics and related fields.

 Students whose Masters degrees are not in Nutrition or Dietetics would
be required to complete the first year taught courses of the MPhil
programme before continuing with the PhD programme.
