What Is Abattoir?
Abattoir means a building or structure, or portion thereof, where animals are slaughtered for the purposes of processing meat into food for human consumption; and where meat products are produced, processed, handled, stored or sold.

Slaughter premises normally seen in developing countries are of three kinds: modern abattoirs, old slaughterhouses and slaughterslabs and makeshift premises. Of the three, modern abattoirs represent the most progressive and the ideal in conventional abattoir design, equipping and services.

There is a $0.10/lb SRM fee for all SRM Cattle
Booking deposit (only refundable if 2 weeks notice of cancellation) – invoiced when booking confirmed:
- Beef – $100/cow
- Hogs – $50/hog
- Lambs/Goats – $25/lamb.goat
Split orders:
- Beef – $10
- Lambs/Goats/Pigs – $7.50
For carcasses taken out whole there is a $1/day/hook holding fee for hanging after 48 hours.

We will provide an invoice – the preferred payment method is eTransfer (ssiabattoirpay@gmail.com) or cheque . Cash is accepted (ONLY for the exact amount – additional funds can be graciously accepted as a generous donation).
Additional charges:
- No show on bookings without 48 hours notice $50
- Late pickup $40
- Bounced cheque $20
- Offal disposal fees apply when offal is not picked up by the owner of the livestock for composting
