Bachelor Bsc Metalsmithing And Jewellery Technology At KNUST

A metal smith or simply smith is a crafts person fashioning useful items (for example, tools, kitchenware, tableware, jewelry, and weapons) out of various metals. Smiting is one of the oldest metalworking occupations. Shaping metal with a hammer (forging) is the archetypal component of smiting.

In the jewelry industry, 3D printing works by using CAD to create 3D printed wax or resin models of jewelry. These are then used to cast delicate pieces with the fine metals,3D printing with precious metals to begin with would be overly costly. These molds mean that separate sections of metal don’t need to be soldered together, creating a more solid and complex piece of jewelry.
