Centre for Development Studies University of Bergen

The Centre for Development Studies was established in 1986. And in the wake of the Brundtland report in 1987, the university established the Centre for International Health, the Centre for Environmental and Resource Studies, and the Centre for Health Promotion and Lifestyle Research (Hemil). Hemil is today organised as a department at UiB’s Faculty of Psychology, but it has retained its original Norwegian acronym.
