Entry Requirement

Wassce / Sssce Applicants

Credits in THREE (3) Elective Subjects including: Biology, Chemistry and either Physics or Mathematics.

High National Diploma (HND) Applicants

HND applicants from a recognized polytechnic with Second Class (Upper Division) and (Lower Division) in the following Programmes, Food Technology, Food Processing, Food Production, Food and Beverage, Food Science, Nutrition, and Chemical Engineering may be admitted to Second or Third Year of the Programme after a successful entrance examination. Such applicants must also satisfy the university’s general admission requirement for degree Programme.


Mature Applicants

Applicants must be 25 years at the time of submitting the application. In addition to passing a written and oral examination, applicants must have;
EITHER
FIVE (5) credit passes at GCE O’ Level (or its equivalent) including English Language and Mathematics and any of the following: Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Agricultural Science.
OR
Credit passes in three (3) SSSCE/WASSCE core subjects including English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science, plus credit passes in any three (3) elective subjects from the following: Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Agricultural Science.
