Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Safety, Health and Enviromental Management

The Ghana Institute of Management and Pubic Administration (GIMPA), the leading Management Development Institution in Ghana, is offering a one year programme for Post-Graduate Diploma in Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Management.

Objectives

The objectives of the course are:

• To sharpen and deepen the analytical skills of Environmental, Health and Safety managers/officers and;
• To equip them with the necessary tools to enable them solve the myriad of problems that confront them in the performance of their duties.

• Integrating Health and Safety Culture into an Organization
• Principles of Environmental Management

• Health and Safety Managers/Officer
• Production Managers/Engineers
• Environmental Managers/Officers/Coordinators
• Quality Control Managers/Officers
• NGO’s with Activities Focused on Social, Health and Environmental (Sustainability) issues
• All personnel responsible for Safety, Health and Environmental policy management in the public and private sectors.

Entry Requirements

Normally applicants will be expected to satisfy the requirements listed below in terms of prior certified learning:

• A relevant initial degree and its equivalent;
• Postgraduate Certificate in Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Management; or
• A professional qualification which would be deemed to be of satisfactory standard for postgraduate admission, and a minimum of two years recent and relevant post qualification professional experience.
