Driver’s License is a document permitting a person to drive a motor vehicle; a driving licence.
Therefore, a new driving licence will now cost GH¢257; replacement of an expired licence, GH¢155; licence upgrade, GH¢345; replacement of lost driving licence, GH¢205 and conversion of a foreign driving licence will cost GH¢445.

How much is a new DVLA Licence?
It costs 275.45 Ghana Cedi to apply online.
You can pay by MasterCard, Visa, Electron or Delta debit or credit card. You’ll need: an identity document, such as your passport.
How do I renew my Ghana driver’s license?
Visit online.dvla.gov.gh/sign_in.
Then enter the Username and Password you created during the account registration process above.
Afterwards click the sign in button.
You will be successfully sign in to the DVLA Online Portal.
Can I still drive while waiting for new Licence?
No. You must wait for DVLA to reissue you with a new driving licence before you can start driving again. My last licence entitled me to drive lorries/ buses.
