Post-harvest and Food Security Technology At HTU

In agriculture, post-harvest handling is the stage of crop production immediately following harvest, including cooling, cleaning, sorting and packing. 

Food security, as defined by the United Nations’ Committee on World Food Security, means that all people, at all times, have physical, social, and economic access to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food that meets their food preferences and dietary needs for an active and healthy life.

HTU Post-harvest and Food Security Technology Duration Of Programmes:

The M Tech programme is run for over a period of two (2) academic years.

HTU Post-harvest and Food Security Technology Entry Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Institution in the relevant or related field(s) of study preferably in Agriculture, Engineering and Science disciplines with a minimum of second class (Lower Division)
Applicants must have at least one year of relevant industrial experience.
