About the University Bookshop
History
The University Bookshop was established in 1948, when the University of Ghana was established then as the University College Of the Gold Coast.
Originally established to serve the University students and lecturers to facilitate accademic work on campus, the services of the Bookshop soon grew beyond its original services. Not long after its establishment in 1948, the University Bookshop had begun serving customers from beyond the University Community.
The University Bookshop of the University of Ghana has, over these years, served several students, lecturers, researchers, readers, families and the general reading public in and beyond Ghana in providing quality and affordable reading, learning and researching materials/logistics.
With the lunching of this website, the Bookshop seeks to expand our services to a wider reading and reserching public.

Our Gift Shop
Our fully air-conditioned Gift Shop provides a home-away-from-home and the right kind of atmosphere you need to relax while you look for an item to buy. We have different kinds of gift-items for you. You need to visit our gift shop.
Our New Online Advertising Services
We also offer advertising services for Authors and Publishers who want to advertise their books/products online to the international community. Our online advertising rates are unbelievable very low.
Achievements
The efficiency of its management, hardworking of the staff coupled with the corporation of the University Authorities have contributed immensely towards the growth and advancement of the Bookshop to a high and admirable status not only in Ghana but in the West Africa sub-region.
Today, the University Bookshop has become a leading and a fast growing bookshop in Ghana and the sub-region. The Shop has an area of aproximately 350 metres square. And with its current product range of over 15,000 books and item, the Bookshop has something for everyone. And because of our moderate prices, buying from us is an indirect way of saving your money.
