Economics is the social science that studies how people interact with things of value; in particular, the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services.

MSc Economics Degree

MSc programmes are of One (1) Academic Year durations

This is one-year advanced degree programme in the Economic Sciences,
is designed to train professionals for industry both at home and abroad.
The rationale is to develop competences in three core courses:
macroeconomics, microeconomics and econometrics plus a host of
relevant electives. The programme has options in

a) MSc Economics

b) MSc Economics (Money, Banking and Finance)

c) MSc Economics (Energy and Resource Economics)

d) MSc Economics (Health Economics and Policy)

MSc Economics At KNUST Entry Requirement

Applicants must hold a good bachelor’s degree (with a minimum of 2nd
Class Lower Division) in: Economics, Economics with (Finance,
Mathematics, Statistics, Geography, Law, Sociology, Political Science, and
History), Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering,
Physics, Actuarial Science, Environmental Science, Land Economy,
Natural Resources Management, Geography, Geography and Resource
Development, Geography and Rural Development, Geography and
Regional Planning and related disciplines.
