1(B) 3- YEAR DIPLOMA IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

This programme is targeted at Pre-School Educators, SHS Certificate Holders, Teacher’s Certificate ‘A’ holders, Social Workers and all those who desire to be trained in the education of children at the pre-school level. Applicants must possess any ONE of the following:

WASSCE with at least Credit passes (A1 – C6) in five (5) subjects comprising three (3) Core Subjects including English Language and Mathematics plus two (2) elective subjects.

SSSCE with at least Credit passes (A – D) in five (5) subjects comprising three (3) Core Subjects including English Language and Mathematics plus two (2) elective subjects.

GCE ‘O’ Level with at least Credit passes (Grade 6) in five (5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics and a Science subject.

Teacher’s Certificate’ A’ from a recognized College of Education or Institution.

Certificate in Pre-School Education from the University of Education, Winneba. Applicants in this category will be placed at Level 200 of the 3-year programme.

Mature Applicants – Must be at least 25 yrs (Will be required to write an entrance examination).
