Admission into Psychiatry
How did I get admission to the Psychiatry course?
To get admission in Psychiatry course, students have to pass their HSC level examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. They can apply for the state, university & national level examination.
After passing this entrance exam, students can pursue MBBS programme of 5 ½ years. Admission to the MBBS course will be done through NEET.
After doing a 5 ½ years MBBS course, the candidate has an option to do a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Diploma in psychiatric medicine (DPM).
You can also pursue a Diploma of National Board Exam (DNB) that is equivalent to an MD degree. Some government colleges offer entrance exam such as AIIMS, JIPMER, CIP entrance exam &, etc.
