About Programme: 

The MSc Economics programme is intended to train economists in advanced theory and methods, mainly for policy analysis and economic management within government, and the private sector.

Hence, MSc (Economics) at the Department of Economics provides a very good foundation in core economic disciplines such as Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometrics and Mathematics.

The MSc (Economics) provides an excellent foundation for a career as a professional economist.

  A number of graduates have gone on to distinguished careers in Economics or related fields.

The programmes is a one-year programme that consists of course work and a research component.

Entry Requirements: 

To be admitted to this programme, candidates must possess a good Honors degree in Economics or in a related discipline.
