Publishing is the activity of making information, literature, music, software and other content available to the public for sale or for free. Traditionally, the term refers to the distribution of printed works, such as books, newspapers, and magazines.

Bachelor BSc (Publishing Studies) At KNUST Entry Requirement

Wassce /Sssce Applicants

1. Credit passes in THREE (3) Elective Subjects from any of the following groupings:

I. VISUAL ARTS: General Knowledge in Art, Picture Making and/or Graphic Design plus Textiles or Sculpture or Leather work.

II. GENERAL ARTS: Geography, Economics, Government, English Language, History, Religious Studies, French, Ghanaian Languages etc.

III. BUSINESS: Economics, Accounting, Introduction to Business Management, Business Mathematics and Principles of Costing and Elective Mathematics.

IV. VOCATIONAL/HOME ECONOMICS: General knowledge in Art, Management in Living plus either Food and Nutrition or Clothing and Textiles

V. SCIENCE: Biology, Chemistry plus Mathematics or Physics

A/ O Level Applicants

FIVE (5) credits at the O’ Level including English Language, Mathematics and a Science Subject plus at least TWO (2) passes at the A’ Level in the relevant subject areas as indicated in above.

Mature Applicants

Applicants must have attained the age of 25 years at the time of submitting the Application with at least FIVE (5) years working experience.
EITHER
FIVE (5) Credits at O’ Level including English Language and Mathematics.
OR
Credits passes in THREE related Elective Subjects as stated in 10.1 above. Applicants must also pass a written examination and an interview
