Master of Philosophy (Human Resource Management) UGBS

This is a 2-year rigorous programme aimed at providing advanced human Resource Management training to highly qualified degree holders. It is geared towards developing the research capacities of participant students and is positioned as a breeding programme for doctoral candidates in Human Resource Management. The emphasis is research and students spend the entire second year in the programme writing an M. Phil Thesis under supervision. MPhil Human Resource Management students take courses such as Multivariate Data Analysis for Business, Research Methods, Public Sector HRM, Organisational Behaviour & Management, Human Relations in Organisation, Human Resource Management, International Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations & Labour Law, and Advanced Business Policy and Strategy.

Admission Requirements
The requirement is a good first degree (at least a Second Class lower) in Human Resource Management, Psychology or Sociology from a recognized university. Candidates with a good first degree (at least a Second Class lower) in other areas who demonstrate an eagerness and capacity to cope with the programme may be considered. Admissions are in August each year. An entrance examination or interview may be conducted.
