PhD Religious Studies At KNUST

Religious studies, also known as the study of religion, is an academic field devoted to research into religious beliefs, behaviors, and institutions.

PhD Religious Studies Degree

PhD Programmes (Full-Time) are of Four (4) Calendar Years and (PartTime) are of Five (5) Calendar Years duration.

PhD Religious Studies At KNUST Entry Requirement.

A. An applicant must have a second degree in Religious Studies or
Theology with extensive research from recognised University or
Theological Seminary/Institution.

b. An applicant with a one year Master’s degree in Religious/Theology
Studies will be made to take the first year courses in the MPhil in
Religious Studies programme at the department. The applicant
should pass all courses and attain a minimum CWA of 70 or better
and demonstrate the capacity for independent research before they
could be considered for admission into the PhD programme.

Admission for all programmes is subject to passing an entrance examination
and interview.
