The general requirements for the agricultural colleges are;

Diploma in General Agriculture

Qualification:

Three (3 ) years for SSSCE/ WASSCE students. Applicants must have aggregate 24 or better in the core subjects (English,Mathematics,Integrated Science) and any other three(3) Elective (Physics,Chemistry,Biology,General Agriculture,Fisheries,Animal Husbandry,Horticulture, etc) subjects.WAASSCE applicants must have credit in the Core subjects and at least C6 in any three (3) of the a fore-named Elective subjects.

Diploma in Agricultural Extension

Qualification:

Two (2) years for holders of Certificate in General Agriculture with at least two(2) years working experience

SANDWICH/WEEKEND PROGRAMMES

Diploma in General Agriculture

Qualification:

Two(2) years for holders of Certificate in General Agriculture with at least two(2) years working experience

Certificate in General Agriculture

Qualification:

Two(2) years for staff in Agricultural establishments

Short Courses on Snails and fish farming,Mushroom production,Poultry production,Rabbit production,Grasscutter production,Pig & Vegetable Production,Beekeeping,Pesticides Management,Animal Health and Disease Control etc are also available.

Duration:1-16 weeks depending on the programme
