How to Join Feyenoord football Academy in Ghana

West African football Academy (WAFA SC) formally known as Feyenoord Football Academy, established by the Dutch football club, was officially commissioned on October 23, 1999 in Gomoa Feteh in the central region.

The main objective of the academy in Ghana was to be an extension of Feyenoord’s youth development in Rotterdam. Another essential objective was to set up a structure to groom young talented African soccer players on technical and educational levels.

Wienco a Ghanaian company took over the Academy from Feyenoord Rotterdam in 2009 and was renamed West African Football Academy.

Over the years the Academy has churned out world class player plying their trade in some of the top football clubs in Africa and Europe.

The following are some of the clubs famous graduates-Harrison Afful, Christian Atsu, Lassana Coulibaly, Joseph Amoah, Jordan Opoku, Mohammed Abubakari, and many others.

The club plays at WAFA Park at Sogakope

West African Football Academy (WAFA) Sporting Club is a Ghanaian professional football club based near Sogakope in the Volta Region that was founded by Feyenoord from Rotterdam.

They are competing in the Ghana Premier League.
