Statistics is the practice or science of collecting and analysing numerical data in large quantities, especially for the purpose of inferring proportions in a whole from those in a representative sample.
BSc. (Statistics) Degree
The School of Statistics offers a four-year undergraduate course leading to the BSc. (Honours) Degree in Statistics.
Bachelor BSc (Statistics) At KNUST Entry Requirement
Wassce /Sssce Applicants
Credits in THREE (3) Electives Subjects including: Mathematics.
Advance Level Applicants
FIVE (5) credit passes at GCE O’ Level including English Language, and Mathematics and Additional/Elective Mathematics plus THREE (3) passes at the A’ Level including Mathematics.
Mature Applicants
Applicants must be at least 25 years at the time of submitting the application. In addition to passing a written and oral Examination, applicants must have;
EITHER
FIVE (5) credit passes at GCE O’ Level (or its Equivalent) including English Language, Mathematics and Additional/Elective Mathematics.
OR
Credit passes in three (3) SSSCE/WASSCE core subjects including English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science, plus credit passes in any three (3) Elective subjects including Mathematics.
HND Applicants.
Such applicants that also meet any of the above requirements will be admitted into yearn two. Applicants are expected to pass an interview.
