OBJECTIVES
By the end of the course, participants would have:

  • Acquired adequate preparation for the fulfillment of their administrative functions
  • Acquired a firm foundation for mature personal development for future broader responsibilities
  • Been exposed to the necessary knowledge and skills to enhance their overall operations effectiveness.

CONTENT
Emphasis is placed on the following areas;

  • Public Policy  Analysis
  • Public Finance and Accounting
  • Ghana’s Public Administration System
  • Strategic Management
  • Public Sector Communication
  • Economic Development Planning
  • Quantitative Law
  • Gender and Development

Research and Project Works

Electives: Participants are to select one.

  • General Administration and Finance
  • Human Resource Management
  • Planning, Budgeting, Monitoring and Evaluation
  • Research, Statistics and Information

ENTRY REQUIREMENT
Normally, general education requirement is a first degree and a Postgraduate Certificate in Public Administration (CPA). Other participants who are accepted as special cases must have a degree and meet GIMPA’s other admission requirements.

DURATION: 16 Weeks
Sessions 1: Between February and May
Sessions 2: Between September and December
Time : 8:00am-4:00pm from Monday to Friday
