The following is the Qualification and Eligibility For General Recruitment in the Recruitment Ghana National Fire Service.
An eligible applicant for GNFS Recruitment must:
i. Be a Ghanaian citizen by birth.
ii. Be with no criminal record and of good character.
iii. Be not less than 18 years of age and not more than 26 years of age for Non-Tradesmen,35-40 years for Drivers,
and not more than 30 years for the Officer Corps.
iv. Be physically and medically fit by Fire service standards.
v. Be of a minimum height of 1.73 Meters (5ft 8Inches) for males and 1.63 Meters (5ft 4Inches) for females
CATEGORY A
RECRUITS
a. Firefighters and Rescue Crew
In addition to satisfy requirements “i”, “ii”, “iii”, “iv” and “v” in general eligibility,applicants must
have the following:
Five(5) Credits in SSCE/WASSCE, Including Core English and Core Mathematics or five(5) credits in the Ghana Education Service(GES) Intermediate Level Certificate, including English and Mathematics or ‘A’ Level /’o’ Level with credit in English and Mathematics.
b. Drivers and Driver Mechanics
In addition to satisfy requirements “i”, “ii”, “iii”, “iv” and “v” in general eligibility,applicants must have the following:
i. SSCE/WASSCE ‘O’/’A’ Level GES Intermediate Level, caccidentNVTI Grades I & II Automobile Certificate or J.S.S Certificate with 10years driving experience.
ii.Driver License D or F
iii.Minimum of five accident-free driving experience
c. IT TECHNICIANS
In addition to satisfy requirements “i”, “ii”, “iii”, “iv” and “v” in general eligibility,applicants must have the following:
A Professional Certificate in Software Development.Website Development & Maintenance.Database Administration from an Accredited Institution.
d. REGISTERED GENERAL NURSES(RGN)
In addition to satisfy requirements “i”, “ii”, “iii”, “iv” and “v” in general eligibility,applicants must have the following:
i. Certificate or Diploma in Nursing from an Accredited Institution.
