Crop science is the study of the world’s major food, feed, turf, and fiber crops and their environment.
Entry Requirements:
A first or second class degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agricultural Science, Botany or Biology as a main field of study from a recognized University
Career Opportunities:
The Master of Philosophy programme in Crop Science is structured to meet the needs of graduates who desire to follow a career in teaching and/or research and require post-graduate training in specialized areas in Crop Sciences.
The programme consists of course work in the first year and research in the second year.
Each student takes a minimum of 5 three-credit hour courses per semester.
A candidate may major in either agronomy, genetics and plant breeding, or in plant protection and may specialize in any of the following disciplines: Agronomy Plant Breeding Crop Physiology Entomology Plant Pathology Weed Management Biotechnology Crop production
