Environmental science is an interdisciplinary academic field that integrates physical, biological and information sciences (including ecology, biology, physics, chemistry, plant science, zoology, mineralogy, oceanography, immunology, soil science, geology and physical geography, and atmospheric science) .

BSc. (Environmental Science) Degree

The School of Environmental Science offers a four-year undergraduate course leading to the BSc. (Honours) Degree in Environmental Science.

Bachelor BSc (Environmental Science) At KNUST Entry Requirement.

Wassce / Sssce Applicants

Credits in THREE (3) Elective Subjects including Biology, Chemistry and either Physics or Mathematics.


A/O Level Applicants

FIVE (5) credits at O’ Level including English Language and Mathematics plus passes at the A’ Level or equivalent in THREE (3) of the following relevant subjects: Chemistry, Zoology or Botany, Mathematics, Physics, Biology.

Mature Applicants

Applicants must be at least 25 years at the time of submitting the application.
EITHER
FIVE (5) credits at the O’ Level including English Language and Mathematics
OR
FIVE (5) credits at the O’ Level and experience in Meteorological applications (in the case of 1.4b)

OR
WASSCE/SSSCE credits in THREE (3) Elective Subjects including Biology, Chemistry and Physics and Mathematics.
