A clinical virologist follows the traditional medical school path for four years after completing undergraduate studies. As a scientific virologist, you’ll typically join a Ph. D program for four to six years, combining coursework, lab rotations, and research.

Is virology a hard class?

If you do I would say that Immunology is the most difficult because of the amount of information, Virology is the second most difficult.

it used to be a 6 unit course but then they made it two courses over two quarters so it is not as condensed but still difficult (not as difficult as Immunology though).
