Geotechnical engineering, also known as geotechnics, is the branch of civil engineering concerned with the engineering behavior of earth materials.

PhD Programmes (Full-Time) are of Four (4) Calendar Years and (PartTime) are of Five (5) Calendar Years duration.

PhD in Geotechnical Engineering At KNUST Entry Requirement.

First or Second Class (Upper Division) in their first degree in Civil
Engineering, Geological Engineering.

 Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineering
and other relevant disciplines, with an average of at least 60. Submit
academic transcripts.

 Candidates from non-Anglophone countries must have an
internationally recognised Certificate of Proficiency in the English
Language (TOEFL or British Council, IELTS) with above average
score.

 Candidates with some publications in a journal as first author have an
advantage.

 Evidence of current and previous employments.
