WAEC to conduct first national standardised test for basic 4 students

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) responsible for the conduct of WASSCE for Private Candidates has released the official Nov/Dec timetable for the conduct of the examination scheduled for November 1, 2021.

According to the 2021 Private WASSCE timetable sighted by EducationWeb.com.gh, the international examination will start on Monday, November 1, 2021, and end on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at various centers in the country.

Prospective candidates preparing to sit for the November/December examination on November 25 will write Social Studies, Core Mathematics on December 11, English Language on December 18, and Int Science on December 21.

The Examinations Council has entreated all prospective candidates to read the entire manual for the Nov/Dec examination carefully and comply with the requirements.

Candidates have also been urged to report to the center at least 30 minutes before the commence of the paper. Students who arrive after the start of a subject paper according to WAEC will not be allowed to write the examination.

WAEC after ending this year’s normal WASSCE for Private Candidates registration on June 22, 2021, proactively extended the Nov/Dec registration period to enable more applicants to register to participate in the examination.

“The normal registration for the examination will start on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, and end Tuesday, August 10. However, there will be a late registration from August 10, 2021, to September 28, 2021,” the Council said in a post.

The late registration, the Exams Body said is to give applicants who wish to sit for the 2021 Nov/Dec but could not register before the normal registration deadline to do so before the commencement of the examination in November.
