UG Call for Applicants: Ph.D. In Climate Change And Sustainable Development

The Centre for Climate Change and Sustainability Studies (C3SS), University of Ghana is currently inviting applications for its newly accredited PhD programme in Climate Change and Sustainable Development.

Anchored on the University of Ghana’s mission to create an enabling environment for cutting-edge research, teaching and learning for national and global development, C3SS is committed to providing demand-driven education, training, and research to tackle global climate change and sustainable development challenges.

The Centre recognizes the critical importance of building both human and institutional capacity for climate-resilient development and as a result, offers a highly interdisciplinary programme with faculty drawn from different units of the University of Ghana and experienced practitioners. This allows learners to receive a rich blend of theoretical and practical learning experiences that bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world practice.

The new PhD in Climate Change and Sustainable Development builds on its well-established MPhil and MSc programmes to provide aspiring scholars and researchers with the requisite knowledge, skills, and dispositions to make significant contributions to climate change and sustainable development processes. Even more exciting is the fact that faculty are drawn from a diversity of backgrounds and specializations and in ways that deepen an intrinsic culture of inter-and intradisciplinary teaching, learning and research.
