About Institute Of Aviation And Professional Studies
INSTITUTE OF AVIATION AND PROFESSIONAL STUDIES(IAPS)
Was established by Godson Ankor -a dutiful educationist and a travel consultant. IAPS started as door to door training service provider in October, 2004 but later became a full established and registered institution in April 2007 with the contribution of other share-holders who join due to the sound vision, dreams aspiration and the prospect of the founder.
After several services in various capacities in the Aviation, Tourism, Shipping, Hospitality and the commerce industries, the founder realized a void in the training of manpower and human capital for these sectors. The founder realized an urgent need to change the shape and form of training to really re-define professional education in the above disciplines, to ensure excellent training, career guidance and encouragement of students to become self employed.
Don’t be deceived, there only two school in Ghana.
These are; Institute of Aviation and Professional Studies (I.A.P.S) and the rest.
AIMS / OBJECTIVES
In order to assist individuals – the youth in particular succeed and become successful in life, Institute of Aviation and Professional Studies (I.A.P.S) aims at:
- ” Providing the much needed professional training to our cherished students
- Expanding the scope of our students on goal setting and way of meeting them.
- Provide multifaceted education by training the head, heart and hand of our cherished students.
- Making our students internally recognized by providing foreign examinations from bodies such as, International Air Transport Association (IATA) in Canada, Universal Federation of Travel Agents Association (UFTAA) in Canada, Institute of Commercial Management (ICM) in UK, Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) in UK, International Federation of Freight Forwarders Association in Canada, institute for professional & executive development (iPED-UK) just to mention but a few.
- Providing direct work placement for practical experience into relevant companies thereby enhancing ready employment for our students.
- Researching and enrolling our students for further studies in colleges and universities in UK, Canada, and USA etc.

We have a well spacious lecture halls strategically designed with the state of the arts furniture meant for a class size of twenty. All lecture halls are installed with fans and or air-conditioned for effective cooling.
