Regional Maritime University (RMU)-Seaweld Oil and Gas Training

The RMU-SEAWELD Oil and Gas Training Center has been established through collaborative efforts with the Regional Maritime University to provide competency and certification based courses in the Oil and Gas Industry.

Qualification to enroll in the RMU-SEAWELD OIL AND GAS TRAINING CENTER is opened to anybody who has basic numeracy and literacy skills plus a desire to learn and or work offshore in the future. Additionally, it is opened to the below as well:

  • SHS Graduates
  • Tertiary Graduates
  • Vocational and Technical Graduates
  • Offshore/Onshore scaffolders
  • Offshore/Onshore Welders
  • Crane Operators
  • Corporate professionals in the banking and Telecom Industry etc.

 

IADC SUPERVISOR SURFACE AND SUBSURFACE

RMU-SEAWELD Oil and Gas Training Center has established a partnership with Murchison Drilling Schools and Techniques Training International to provide world class Oil and Gas Training at Regional Maritime University.

IADC SUPERVISOR SURFACE/SUB-SURFACE TRAINING COURSE

The RMU-SEAWELD Oil and Gas Training Center has been established through collaborative efforts with the Regional Maritime University to provide competency and certification based courses in the Oil and Gas Industry. The RMU-SEAWELD Oil and Gas training center is managed by Seaweld Engineering Limited.

The center primarily seeks to provide practical competency and international certification based courses for the Ghanaian local content and beyond the West African sub-region.

With heavy investments into state-of-art drilling simulators, drilling fluids laboratories, production simulators and Dynamic Positioning Simulators the center highly positioned to provide enviable training and knowledge-based certifications courses for the Ghanaian local content and beyond.

The establishment of the RMU-SEAWELD Oil and Gas Training Center will ensure rich Ghanaian local content and West African sub-region participation and enrollment and beyond.

These will offset the huge training expenditure that oil companies in Ghana and Africa spend to train their upstream, mid-stream and down-stream staff in Europe and the West.

REGISTRATION ONLINE

RMU-Seaweld registrations for 2017 academic year are fully online. A telephonic registration help service on +233 (0) 2 44 321 531 | +233 (0) 2 43 276 954 will be available to students from 03 January 2017. Should the registration help service experience high call volumes you are requested to send an email to registrar.rmu@seaweldghana.com

The students who may need assistance will be able to do so at RMU Campus where the services of submitting of enrolment contracts, curriculum advisement, student cards, residences, financial matters, International unblocking, registration laboratory and general enquiries will be made available.

How Often will the course be run?

The RMU – Seaweld Oil & Gas training courses will be run on a weekly basis and will cover many sectors of the Oil and Gas industry for both beginners and experienced industry professionals

Who is eligible to apply?

Our courses have no special prerequisites and are open to anyone with numeracy and literacy skills.

How much does it cost?

Each course cost $500 per head. The cost of the course is negotiable for group admissions.

Can I apply as an individual or a group?

Applications are open to both individuals and groups. Kindly indicate on your application form if you are applying as a group.

What certificate will I get?

Upon completion of the course, you will be awarded an IADC International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) & International Well Control Forum (IWCF) Certificate

Is it an accredited course?

YES! The International Well Control Forum (IWCF) is the only independent body focused on oil and gas well training and accreditation. The International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) is the forum for all oil & gas drilling industry stakeholders to connect, tackle common problems and develop solutions to critical issues. Together, they set training standards through a global network of branches and are committed to delivering a permanent step change in process safety and operations throughout the life-cycle of the well.

Can I seek employment with my certificate?

YES but with no guarantee. This course will provide you with an explicit insight into the Oil & Gas industry.
