Executives of Distance Education Students Pledge Support to Management UCC

Executives of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) Chapter of the Distance Education Students’ Association (DESA) have paid a courtesy visit to Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni to congratulate him on his Investiture and Induction as fourth Vice-Chancellor of UEW.

The Executives also used the occasion to pledge their support to Management for the success of Distance Education (DE) and the UEW as a whole. They presented a citation to Rev. Fr. Prof. Afful-Broni to indicate their commitment to his administration.

Management expressed profound joy towards the loyalty of the DESA-UEW Executives and promised to make DE interesting and attractive. “As pioneers of DE in Ghana, we want to remain the best and improve the quality of DE. Thus, we urge you to soar very high to be ahead of your competitors.” Said Management.

Other members of staff present were the Registrar, Surv. Paul Osei-Barima Esq.; Director, Institute for Distance and e-Learning, Prof. Francis Owusu-Mensah; Deputy Registrar and Head, Department of Publishing and Web Development and Patron of DESA-UEW, Mr. Jerry Addison Anyan; and Dean, Student Affairs, Dr. Ernest K. Amponsah.

DESA-UEW Executives present included the National President, Mr. Abdulsalam Alhassan; Ho Centre President, Torgbui Stephen Adzaklo; Electoral Commission Chair, Mr. Eric Taylor; Ag. General Secretary, Ms. Gifty Asante; Ag. Financial Secretary, Mr. Daniel Tengey and National President, DESA-UCC (University of Cape Coast), Mr. George Amenyo.
