CIAMC Honors Registrar of UDS

The Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants – Ghana (CIAMC), has conferred an Honorary Fellowship on Dr. A.B.T. Zakariah, the Registrar of the University for Development (UDS).

The Award was conferred on him at the 17th Graduation and 5th National Conference of the Institute, held on 27th October, 2018 at the National Council for Tertiary Education Conference Hall, Accra, under the theme: “Effective Waste Management in Ghana: Opportunity for National Competitiveness and Job Creation.”

Dr. A.B.T. Zakariah in his acceptance speech, thanked CIAMC for recognizing his humble contribution to public service by inviting him to be part of the Institute as a Fellow. He used the opportunity to encourage institutions to support their administrative staff to strive to attain professional qualifications alongside the academic qualifications, “it is only then that we as Administrators can continually reinvent our relevance in the public space” he emphasized. “I am not only happy to be a proud recipient of this award, but I am also delighted to salute amongst us, four staff of the University for Development Studies, where I work, who have been able to combine their busy work schedules with studies, to improve their professional qualifications and competence” he added.

A total of thirty (30) individuals were presented with various awards and inducted into the institute. They include: Ten (10) Graduate Members, eighteen (18) License Members and Two (2) Honorary Fellows. The Institute, on behalf of the Swiss Management Centre University (SMCU), also presented certificates to Twenty Two (22) candidates who complicated their studies for the award of MBA by the SMCU.
