UPSA Hostel Application Procedure for Fresh Students 2016/2017 Academic Year

UPSA Hostel applicants must take note of the following:

  1. Fresh UPSA students who wish to secure bed in the UPSA hostel for the 2016/2017 academic year shall apply through the UPSA online hostel management system at www.upsahostel.com.
  2. The application process for fresh students starts on Thursday 11th August 2016.
  3. Beds shall be allocated on the basis of halls that students are affiliated to;
  4. Students must familiarize with the use of the University’s Interpay platform for the disbursement of hostel facility and related fees;
  5. The hostel facility and related fees for 2016/2017 academic year have been published on the university’s website at www.upsa.edu.gh  under Announcement;
  6. Limited number of beds are available.

Procedure for the Application for Bed at the UPSA Hostel for the 1st Semester:

  • Logon to www.upsahostel.com;
  • Login with your index number as username and also as password ;
  • Upload a clear and formal passport picture of yourself;
  • Edit your phone number and email address if they are not functional;
  • Book a room of preference provided the room is in your hall of affiliation and then proceed to agree to the Terms and Conditions of the Tenancy Agreement;
  • Proceed to make payment of the designated hostel facility and related fees for the selected room in any networked branchof Access Bank;
  • Proceed immediately to disburse payment made on the University’s Interpay Platform at www.interpayafrica.com/upsa/student  as follows:

a. UPSA hostel facility fee;b. Hall dues: Yaa Asantewaa/Opoku Ampomah/Liberty or Mandela (please select applicable hall);c. UPSA hostel refundable deposit for damages; andd. UPSA hostel initial electricity credit.NB: Please take note that failure to make payment and disbursement within 24 hours after booking will lead to cancellation of booking.

  • A confirmation SMS shall be sent to applicant after successful payment and disbursement within the 24-hour mandatory period;
  • Login with your credentials to view booking information and print out your Tenancy Agreement.

Procedure for Registration of BedApplicants who successfully secure bed must proceed to the Porter’s Lodge at the hostel for biometric registration.

Successful applicants are advised to bring along their printed Tenancy Agreement, which must be signed for the biometric registration. The biometric registration exercise starts on 27th August 2016 and officially ends on 11th September 2016.Click here for full details on fees >
