Sunyani Technical University Lectureship Positions [December 2017]

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill lectureship vacancies in the following subject areas:

A. ENGINEERING

  1. Civil Engineering
  2. Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  3. Mechanical Engineering

B. APPLIED SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGY

  1. Dispensing Technician
  2. Computer Science and Information Communication Technology
  3. Hotel, Catering and Institutional Management
  4. General Agriculture

C. VISUAL AND INDUSTRIAL ART

  1. Ceramics
  2. Fashion Design
  3. Textiles

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

A. PROFESSORS

A candidate seeking appointment as Professor must:

  1. Possess a PhD in the relevant field of specialization.
  2. Have served for at least four (4) years as an Associate Professor.
  3. Have at least Twenty (20) publications in refereed journals since appointment as a lecturer, at least five (5) of which should have been published after promotion to Associate Professor.
  4. Must be a member of a recognized and relevant professional body.
  5. Provide other evidence of research/invention/innovation
  6. Evidence of industry experience

B. ASSOCIATE PROFESSORS

A candidate seeking appointment as Associate Professor must:

  1. Possess a PhD in the relevant field of specialization.
  2. Have taught for a minimum of four (4) years as a Senior Lecturer.
  3. Have at least fifteen (15) publications in refereed journals since appointment as a Lecturer; at least five (5) of which should have been published after promotion to Senior Lecturer.
  4. Membership of a recognized professional body.
  5. Provide other evidence of research/professional activity/products/ invention.
  6. Evidence of industry experience

C. SENIOR LECTURERS

A candidate seeking appointment as Senior Lecturer must:

  1. Possess a PhD or a Research Masters degree equivalent to MPhil degree in the relevant field of specialization.
  2. Have taught for a minimum of four (4) years as a Lecturer;
  3. Candidate must have at least eight (8) publications in refereed journals
  4. Membership of a recognized professional body.
  5. Provide other evidence of research/professional activity/ products/invention/innovation.
  6. Evidence of industry experience

D. LECTURERS

A candidate seeking appointment as Lecturer must:

  1. Possess a PhD or a Research Masters degree equivalent to MPhil degree in the relevant field of specialization.
  2. Have some appreciable industrial experience or skills in Competency Based Training (CBT).
  3. Membership of a recognized professional body.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR LECTURESHIP POSITIONS

Successful candidates will be expected to teach, research and offer any other academic and administrative services to the University and its publics.
