UEW School of Business Praises Management for Refurbishment 2018

The School of Business of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has praised Management for refurbishing infrastructure at the South Campus and fixing hotspots at vantage points to aid easy accessibility of Internet/Wifi at the School’s campus in Winneba.

The School appreciated the Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni and his team for the renovation.

The commendation was made on Monday, 8th October, 2018 at the Council Chamber, North Campus, Winneba when Faculty members and student executives of the School paid a courtesy call on the fourth Vice-Chancellor to congratulate him and pledge their support as well.

Addressing the Vice-Chancellor and his abled lieutenants, the Dean, School of Business, Prof. Christopher A. Okpoti disclosed that his outfit would be introducing PhD in Management Information System (MIS) soon adding that, a Masters Programme had already been sent to the School of Graduate Studies for review.

The Dean revealed the School’s commitment to support the Vice-Chancellor in his vision to enable UEW achieve its ultimate goal. As a result, Faculty members presented a citation whereas student executives also presented a gift to the Vice-Chancellor. The citation, read by the Head, Department of Human Resource Management, Dr. Bernard B. B. Binghab, according to the School was a sign to pledge their allegiance to the Vice-Chancellor.

In his Remarks, the Registrar, Surv. Paul Osei-Barima Esq. expressed joy in the sudden growth of the School of Business. He however, stressed that Management would continue to pressurise Faculty members and Administrators to be productive in their works.

In his Response, the Vice-Chancellor expressed delight and gratitude to the School of Business for the honour. He reiterated his vision to work hard to make UEW a world class University.

“We will not allow anyone to see us as a second class University; thus, we are going to work hard so wake-up. I believe that I can fall on you every time. Please do not hesitate to bring us your views because Management is open to your suggestions and will do its best to support you.” Rev. Fr. Prof. Afful-Broni said.

Also in attendance were the Ag. Finance Officer, Mr. Bruno B. B. Chirani and former Dean, School of Graduate Studies, Prof. George Kankam.
