University of Education, Winneba (UEW) to Host 2018 Annual General Meeting of IPR, Ghana

The University of Education, Winneba has secured the hosting right to organise the 2018 Annual General Meeting of the Institute of Public Relations, Ghana (IPR). The University was given the mandate to host the forum due to the outstanding commitment and dedication of IPR members on its campus. Currently, UEW has five members who are in good standing with the Institute. This comprises: Three Accredited members, One Associate member and One Affiliate member.

The hosting right was given at the 24th Annual General Meeting of the Institute at Royal Lamerta Hotel in Kumasi, Ahodwo-Nhyiaeso on Friday 20th October, 2017.

Three members of UEW were present at this year’s AGM. These were Dr. Mavis Amo-Mensah
(Department of Communications and Media Studies) Mr. Asare Okae-Anti (Department of Communications and Media Studies) and Ms. Eva Annan (Division of Publications and Communication).

The Institute of Public Relations, Ghana is made up of Public Relations Practitioners working all over the nation, Ghana. Students of Communications and Public Relations are also admitted into the Association as student members.

A total of 12 Associate and 8 Accredited members were admitted into membership of IPR, Ghana at this year’s General Assembly Meeting in Kumasi.

Other members of the Association on UEW campus include Mr. Kofi Twum-Ampomah of the College of Technology Education, Kumasi.
